Superfoods
Year 2000 and I had a problem.
My baby daughter Lilly was ready for food, but....what to feed her?
What is the best?
I knew that a sandwich with cheese (adviced by the consultation desk from mainstream) was not the best option. Then I met Diane Store. she had a stand at the saturday farmer market, Noordermarkt in Amsterdam center. Author of the book: Rawfood Works, a compilation of famous rawfood advocats. She said to me: ´it is easy just put avocado and fruits in a blender and this is good for her¨. I never thought of an avocado with fruits let alone in a blender. But I did. And I learned much more from her and that was the power of raw super foods. Thank you Diane for the Inspriation. Later I met David Wolfe. A guy with so much positive energy that I thought: ¨I want to know this kind of energy¨. So I started my journey into the superfoods. That time there was a hype in superfoods and there were different shops who sold bags with superfoods and I bought every time a few bags, took them home started to take, feel, mix with other superfoods, fruits, veggies, seaweeds, nuts and seeds and it opened a new world.
So much energy and health I recieved of this and clearity too.
Thank you: Nature. I love your abundance, your energy, your care, your intelligence.

*Exploring the Health Benefits of a Raw Vegan Diet
In recent years, raw vegan food has gained significant popularity for its numerous health benefits. This plant-based lifestyle emphasizes the consumption of unprocessed, uncooked foods, primarily fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, cold-pressed oils, and sprouted grains. By preserving the natural enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients present in raw foods, proponents of this lifestyle believe that it can enhance overall well-being and offer a multitude of health advantages. Let’s explore the compelling reasons why incorporating raw vegan food into your diet can positively impact your health. The theory is that consuming uncooked foods boosts energy, aids in weight loss and prevents disease. Heat-processing destroys digestion-aiding enzymes and creates tissue-damaging toxins.
What to Eat every day:
- Raw fruits.
- Raw vegetables.
- Sprouted grains, such as unhulled farro and quinoa, that have been soaked rather than cooked.
- Sprouted legumes, such as lentils and pinto bean that sprout in warm water.
- Raw nuts, which means they were not roasted.
- Raw seeds, which means they were not roasted.
-
Enhanced Nutrient Content:
Raw vegan food retains its natural nutrient composition, ensuring that you receive an abundant supply of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Raw fruits and vegetables are particularly rich in vitamin C, which strengthens the immune system, supports collagen synthesis, and acts as a potent antioxidant. Additionally, consuming raw greens such as spinach, kale, and broccoli provides a significant boost of vitamins A, K, and folate, as well as minerals like potassium and magnesium.
-
Enzyme-Rich Diet:
Raw vegan food is teeming with enzymes that facilitate digestion and nutrient absorption. These enzymes aid in breaking down complex carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, allowing your body to absorb the maximum nutrients from your food. When food is cooked above 118°F (48°C), enzymes are destroyed, and the digestive process becomes more challenging. A raw vegan diet promotes optimal digestion, reduces bloating, and may alleviate digestive issues such as acid reflux and constipation.
-
Increased Fiber Intake:
A raw vegan diet is naturally high in dietary fiber, which offers numerous health benefits. Adequate fiber intake supports a healthy digestive system, helps maintain a healthy weight by promoting satiety, and assists in regulating blood sugar levels. Additionally, dietary fiber promotes cardiovascular health by reducing cholesterol levels and supporting a healthy blood pressure range.
-
Antioxidant Powerhouse:
Raw vegan foods are abundant in antioxidants, which help combat free radicals and reduce oxidative stress in the body. By neutralizing free radicals, antioxidants help protect cells from damage and play a crucial role in preventing chronic diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative disorders. Vibrant, colorful fruits and vegetables like berries, leafy greens, and bell peppers are especially rich in antioxidants such as vitamin C, beta-carotene, and flavonoids.
-
Alkalizing Effect:
A raw vegan diet tends to have an alkalizing effect on the body. High consumption of processed foods, animal products, and caffeine can lead to an acidic pH balance, which may contribute to inflammation, weakened immunity, and various health problems. Raw vegan food, on the other hand, is naturally alkaline and can help restore the body’s pH balance, promoting overall health and well-being.
-
Weight Management and Vitality:
Many individuals adopt a raw vegan diet as a means to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Raw vegan foods are typically lower in calories and higher in essential nutrients compared to processed and animal-based foods. Additionally, the high water and fiber content in raw fruits and vegetables promote satiety and help prevent overeating. The consumption of raw vegan food often leads to increased energy levels, enhanced vitality, and improved physical fitness.
